As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will use screening procedures to help protect people, property, and operations. You will monitor access points, conduct X-ray screening as assigned, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries entering designated areas in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Inspect packages, bags, and/or freight as directed, using screening equipment and established protocols to help identify prohibited or unauthorized items.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by communicating entry requirements, directing individuals to appropriate locations, and maintaining professional interactions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly report observations and concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding business perimeter; complete required logs and incident documentation.
