As an Access Control Security Officer at a retail distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will use clear communication and customer service skills while helping to identify and report security-related concerns. This is a driving position. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the distribution center by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and vendor entry, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
  • Maintain accurate logs of vehicle traffic, deliveries, visitor activity, and security-related incidents in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
