About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Chantilly, Virginia. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and compliance with site-specific procedures.

The schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $38.44 per hour. Applicants must have at least two years of security-related experience, an active DoD Top Secret Clearance, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific procedures and carrying out emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas, identifying and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Assist with access control and contractor and visitor escorts.
• Help protect sensitive property and information in accordance with site requirements.
