About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol officer at an aerospace and defense location in Washington, DC, you will help safeguard the client’s site and provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate professionally. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. The pay rate is $28.48 per hour.

Requirements

Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
CPR certification.
A Guard Card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors according to site requirements.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate contacts.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facility, office, parking, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
