About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a front desk role at an aerospace and defense location in San Diego, California. The officer will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and provide customer service and professional communication while helping maintain a secure atmosphere and support site operations. The role offers a schedule with shifts Monday and Tuesday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Pay is $24.61 per hour.

Requirements

Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at the front desk while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Verify visitor access credentials, issue visitor badges as directed, maintain visitor logs, and communicate entry requirements according to site procedures.
Monitor access to the facility reception area, observe and report unusual activity, and help deter unauthorized entry.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
Answer and route calls, provide directions and general information, and communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
