About The Position

Ameritex Guard Services is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for a Saturday and Sunday, 10 p.m.–6 a.m. schedule. Requirements

Have the desire to learn and provide great customer service to clients.
Have a clean background with no felonies and be able to obtain a security license through Texas D.P.S.
Have reliable transportation and an own vehicle.
Be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Be able to write legible reports.
Be reliable, punctual, and have high integrity.
Have two valid forms of identification; examples include a driver's license or state ID and a Social Security card or birth certificate.
Hold a Level II Guard License.
Be able to start immediately.
Maintain a neat, professional appearance and demeanor.
Be able to stand for 7–8 hours.
Be capable of handling assigned daily tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Be able to work indoors and outdoors as needed.
Arrive at the interview in business-casual attire.
Have one year of customer service experience.
Have a high school education or equivalent.
Be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting.

Nice To Haves

Previous security experience; one year of security experience is preferred.
Military or law enforcement background.
Guard Card is preferred.
Day, night, or overnight shift availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence.
Secure exits, doors, and windows after operations end.
Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions.
Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
Provide assistance to people in need.
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
