As a Security Officer Full Time Medical Response Patrol in Wexford, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Hospital Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Be willing to receive required hospital vaccines.
  • Be comfortable working in a hospital morgue.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control procedures, and the reporting of suspicious activity or facility concerns.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
