About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Response in Hattiesburg, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific policies, assisting with badge verification, visitor directions, and escalation of access-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while following Allied Universal and client site procedures.
