As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence. You will help to deter security-related incidents through visible awareness, clear communication, and accurate documentation. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site access-control procedures.
  • Operate access-control systems, issue and collect visitor credentials, maintain required visitor logs, and report access discrepancies to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
