As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Checkpoint in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and reporting security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
  • Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and deliveries in accordance with established procedures; identify and report prohibited or unauthorized items and/or activities.
  • Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and access permissions before allowing entry to designated areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and/or appropriate responders.
  • Maintain accurate screening, visitor, incident, and access-control documentation while supporting a professional and welcoming entry experience.
