About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site in Detroit, Michigan. The role provides a dependable weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and schedule. Employees may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, potentially working up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The position pays $18.35 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and security support in healthcare facilities, including patrols, access-control assistance, incident response, and accurate reporting. Applicants are subject to applicable background investigations and drug screening. Licensing may be required under state or local rules.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any state or local licensing requirements that apply before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations while following site procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership or responding personnel.
• Support access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as directed, and assisting with visitor management.
