About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to provide site surveillance and patrol driving at a technology data center in Sterling, Virginia. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service and clear communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state. The listed pay rate is $26.06 per hour. The schedule includes Monday 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, Friday 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, and Sunday 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements and are subject to a background investigation and drug screen, as permitted by law. Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located; required for driving positions.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating information through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center buildings, exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations; deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials according to site procedures, and maintain accurate security logs and documentation.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel and follow Allied Universal and client security requirements.
