About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for evening alarm response at a corporate headquarters setting in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. The role serves and safeguards clients, including in retail and mall settings, by monitoring assigned areas, conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment. Officers assist visitors and employees professionally and communicate clearly. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and pays $19.27 per hour. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment, depending on applicable requirements.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail and mall locations, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and observe and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors, customers, and employees with directions, information, and access-related inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
