Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a shelter location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity in accordance with location procedures, helping to support orderly operations and appropriate access for authorized individuals.
• Assist with de-escalation support, resident interactions, and incident follow-up while maintaining professionalism and clear communication in a shelter environment.
