Unarmed Security Officer Flexible Schedule Weekends Part Time
About The Position
Join Our Elite Team as a Security Officer with Cambridge Security Services. Cambridge Security Services is Florida's most respected security firm, protecting prestigious properties and schools. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our ranks as Security Officers, who will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and security of our clients. This position requires working different shifts, with guaranteed 24 to 32 hours a week. It is for a gate officer and/or patrol officer in a private community, with one guaranteed shift on Saturdays from 4:30 am to 1:00 pm. Cambridge Security Services sets the gold standard for American security, with a reputation for top-notch security solutions. We take pride in hiring military veterans.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A current D security officer license issued by the State of Florida, Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
- Successful completion of a mental health assessment.
- Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States.
- Flexibility to work various schedules.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to successfully complete all required training.
- Proficiency in operating radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
- Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
- If prior military, the ability to provide a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated.

Responsibilities
- Conducting armed foot and/or vehicle patrols, both indoors and outdoors.
- Controlling access and egress points to maintain a secure environment.
- Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems.
- Documenting incidents and preparing detailed reports.
- Deterring criminal activity and misconduct.
- Fulfilling other duties as outlined in post orders.
