Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support visitors and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or public-facing spaces, verifying credentials when required and documenting security-related incidents, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Support traffic and pedestrian flow around the location as directed, assisting with post orders, temporary restrictions, and communication during operational changes and/or emergency situations.
