About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Northampton, PA, to serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role includes providing professional customer service and supporting a reliable, collaborative team culture. The scheduled shifts are Saturdays and Sundays, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.44 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, vehicle traffic, and loading areas; verify authorized entry and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations in required reports and logs.
