As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, support customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and team members. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to store associates, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, delivery personnel, and other visitors in accordance with location requirements.
Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and delivery records and communicate access concerns or unusual activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, receiving areas, parking areas, and the surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
