As a Security Officer Full Time Secure Entry Operations in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, and assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with professionalism. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the food and beverage distribution location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Screen incoming deliveries and outbound traffic in accordance with site procedures, documenting relevant information and reporting discrepancies to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and shipping/receiving locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
