About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer to serve and safeguard a school district in El Paso, Texas. The officer will provide a visible security presence, conduct armed patrols, respond to security concerns, and deliver customer service and communication to students, staff, visitors, and members of the school community. The role requires a Texas Level III Armed Certification and is part-time, with a schedule listed for Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM.

Requirements

Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events, following site procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or property concerns, and document incidents according to established procedures.
Remain aware of daily school operations, special events, and changing conditions while maintaining a professional presence.
