About The Position
Doyle Security Services is hiring a Security Officer for a school district. The officer observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site to help protect client property and personnel. The role includes making periodic tours to check for irregularities, preserving order, and enforcing site regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and premises. The work requires standing for the majority of the workday. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The starting pay is $19.00 per hour. Union membership is required.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid New Jersey SORA license.
- Ability to understand English and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Physical ability to perform the tasks required by the position.
- Must join a union.
Responsibilities
- Report irregularities and inform violators of policies and procedures.
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry.
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses; and obtain signatures.
- Perform tasks assigned by a supervisor or manager.
