About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer to support a school district in El Paso, Texas. The officer will safeguard the educational site through visible armed patrols, incident response, and customer service for students, staff, visitors, and administrators. The role requires Texas Level III Armed Certification and supports a school environment with a focus on teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation. The scheduled hours are Thursday and Friday, 8:15 AM–4:45 PM. The pay rate is $20.39 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Industry-specific security training is provided or required as part of the role.

Requirements

Possess a Texas Level III Armed Certification.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and administrators by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations on school property, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access-control concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations, and report observations to appropriate school personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
Help maintain an orderly learning environment during arrivals, dismissals, school events, and other high-traffic periods.
