About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Security Officer for warehouse access in Penns Grove, New Jersey. The officer will serve as the facility’s first line of protection, checking in employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers, maintaining orderly access, and identifying potential threats. The role includes work at a guard desk and truck gate, monitoring security systems, keeping accurate records, responding to alarms and incidents, and helping protect people and property.

This is a part-time position scheduled Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., for 24 hours per week. The stated wage is $18.00 per hour. Uniforms are provided at no cost. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Successfully pass an extensive screening process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Communicate professionally and confidently with employees, visitors, and drivers.
• Demonstrate sharp attention to detail and exceptional concentration.
• Be comfortable using computers, logs, and access control systems.
• Hold a state license if one is required.

Responsibilities

• Control facility access and verify the identities of employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers.
• Check in and log trucks, trailers, and deliveries at the gate.
• Issue and track visitor badges and maintain accurate entry logs.
• Monitor CCTV and access control systems from the guard post.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or potential threats.
• Report security system malfunctions or vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of people and property.
