About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for warehouse access control in Riverhead, New York. The position has a designated site and fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The scheduled shift is Friday, 2:15 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company's scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as needed. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

The role provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include unarmed patrols, monitoring access and activity, responding to incidents and alarms, and preparing reports for company leadership and site management.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
• Commit to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, members, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location, including sales areas, receiving areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized access, theft, and other policy violations.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
