About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Access Control Authorization Specialist for a logistics and distribution location in Santa Fe Springs, California. The role helps safeguard employees, visitors, drivers, clients, and facility operations by managing access points, verifying authorized entry, monitoring activity, and supporting a secure environment. The position requires a visible presence, professional communication, and a customer-focused approach. The officer carries out security procedures and site-specific policies, maintains access and visitor records, monitors warehouse-related areas, responds to incidents as directed, and conducts regular and random patrols. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at $19.00 per hour. Applicants must have at least two years of security-related experience, be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (or 21 or older for armed roles), and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on applicable background investigation and drug screening. Licensing requirements vary by applicable state or local law; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Control facility access by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, maintaining visitor and driver logs, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
Monitor loading docks, shipping and receiving areas, employee entrances, and perimeter access points for unauthorized activity, and report observations according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
