About The Position

Temporary Security Officer positions are available from October 4, 2026, through December 19, 2026. Hours range from 24 to 40 hours per week, with all shifts available. The role involves standing for extended periods, scanning employees through metal detectors, greeting employees and visitors, issuing badges, operating a company-issued cell phone to complete reports, and using a radio for communication. This position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises, patrolling various locations, preserving order, and enforcing regulations. Security Officers also provide customer service and information to clients' employees and customers. Securitas is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace.

Requirements

Must have excellent Customer Service skills.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard.
Prior security experience preferred.
Comfortable working with computers.
Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Prior security experience preferred.
If you have retail, food service or hospitality industry background you are a great fit for this role.

Responsibilities

Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site.
Provide for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
Scan employees through metal detectors.
Greet employees and visitors.
Issue badges.
Operate a company-issued cell phone to complete reports.
Use a radio to communicate with delivery drivers and internal departments.
Patrol a variety of locations.
Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
Provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers.
