About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare location in Sandy, Utah. The officer will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service and communication to patients, visitors, employees, and staff. The role includes following site-specific procedures and security protocols, responding professionally to routine needs and incidents, and completing reports and shift communications. Pay is $20.00 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or security-related concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations, following established response procedures.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as needed.
