About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for members, visitors, and employees. The officer provides customer service, communicates clearly, and responds to security-related concerns with integrity. The listed schedule is Monday and Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.51 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to members, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, ATM areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with access control and maintaining a professional presence.
Document daily activities, incidents, and irregular conditions in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
