About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Whitakers, North Carolina, you will help safeguard a manufacturing and industrial location. You will provide customer service while managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring entry activity, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. The role supports security operations through accurate documentation and a visible presence that helps deter incidents. The listed pay rate is $18.00 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least six months of experience in a security-related role.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Customer service experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes as assigned, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Control vehicle, pedestrian, and contractor access according to site requirements, escalating unauthorized access attempts and unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
