About The Position

As a Security Officer Correctional Facility Tower Watch in Atlanta, Georgia, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms, document activity using computer or tablet systems, and provide professional customer service. The role is full-time and pays $21.00 per hour. The listed schedule is 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment under applicable state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Monitor assigned areas and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
• Support access control and respond to alarms.
• Document activity using computer or tablet systems.
