As a Security Officer Full Time in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor badges as directed, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
Screen incoming vehicles, deliveries, and personnel in accordance with site procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts, prohibited items, and unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, evacuations, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
