As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide visible support that helps deter incidents. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store associates, delivery personnel, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points for employees, vendors, contractors, and deliveries; verify credentials and maintain visitor and delivery logs as required by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail sales areas, receiving docks, stockrooms, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, unusual activity, and security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
