As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Control in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and documenting security-related activity. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support a caring, team-oriented culture built on integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation at Allied Universal.

Requirements

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Control access to the chemical and petrochemical facility by verifying identification, visitor authorization, contractor credentials, and vehicle entry requirements.
• Monitor entry points, access-control systems, alarms, and communications equipment; document access activity and report irregular conditions according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and notification protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter; report observed hazards, unauthorized activity, and security-related concerns.
