LIVE is a 4 million square foot entertainment destination in downtown Los Angeles, featuring venues like The Novo, Peacock Theater, Crypto.com Arena, Regal Cinemas, ESPN broadcast facilities, and a variety of restaurants, bars, hotels, and event spaces. It is recognized as the nation's most active live content and event campus. The Security Officer role at L.A. LIVE provides safety, security, and customer service to guests, tenants, and employees, and assists local public safety agencies.

Requirements

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency.
  • A minimum of 0 - 1 years of related work experience.
  • Must possess a valid California Guard Card or able to obtain one prior to starting job.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. Must be able to communicate via a two-way radio in English.
  • Ability to maintain patron, employee, and company confidentiality.
  • Ability to memorize, recollect, and quickly retrieve relevant information for incidents.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended time periods up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to ride a bicycle or personal motorized vehicle.
  • Able to lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds, as needed.
  • Must be available to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be available a minimum of 3 days and 5 possible shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a representative and liaison of L.A. LIVE, demonstrating a professional, positive, polite, and friendly attitude.
  • Patrol campus on foot, bicycle, or personal motorized vehicle.
  • Respond quickly to all security needs and calls for service.
  • Provide customer service to all patrons and employees.
  • Conduct regular inspections of all patrol and fixed post assignments.
  • Write reports, conduct completed staff work, interview victims and witnesses.
  • Respond to crime scenes and ensure the scene is secured until the arrival of local law enforcement.
  • Conduct simple misdemeanor crime investigations.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment surrounding the venue.
  • Work closely with local public safety agencies to accomplish safety and security goals.
