About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a driving position at an aerospace and defense-related location in Grand Prairie, Texas. The officer will safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role requires a valid driver’s license and involves following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures. The stated pay rate is $21.01 per hour. The schedule is Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, and Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license, required for this driving position and subject to Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to applicable state and local laws and regulations.

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate entry and incident documentation.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, building perimeters, parking areas, and restricted locations, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Help maintain a professional, controlled environment while following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
