About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a financial institution location in Port Isabel, Texas. The officer will help safeguard clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and helping deter security-related incidents. The role also includes providing professional customer service to visitors and staff and supporting a welcoming environment. The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The pay rate is $13.50 per hour. Applicants must meet the age and education requirements, and employment is subject to applicable background and drug screening. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution and its surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and employee credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and documentation.
Help protect personnel, visitors, property, and confidential areas by observing, reporting, and escalating security concerns.
