About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Cleared Security Officer for a government facility. The unarmed officer will protect personnel, property, and sensitive or classified information while working under site-specific security protocols and post orders. The position pays $19.17 per hour, with weekly pay. Officers receive specialized site-specific training and opportunities for professional growth in the security field.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• An appropriate-level Department of Defense (DoD) position security clearance.
• At least one of the following: three years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site or prior military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism.
• Conduct foot, bicycle, or vehicle patrols within and around the facility to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances through written and oral communication to the client and/or other security personnel.
• Respond to and assess security or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
