About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a chemical/petrochemical location in West Hazleton, Pennsylvania. The officer will help safeguard the client by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, supporting access control, deterring security-related incidents, and providing customer service and communication. The role involves responding to incidents and alarms, documenting observations and unusual conditions, and following site-specific policies and protocols.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience.
Access control and badge experience, including familiarity with using identification badges for secure entry.
Comfort using a computer or tablet and navigating relevant software applications.
A current CPR certification recognized by a reputable organization; proof must be submitted before the start date.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of chemical and petrochemical facility buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic according to site requirements.
Document observations, incidents, and unusual conditions, and promptly report security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
