As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Central Valley, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a luxury retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Assist with maintaining a professional, welcoming presence in a luxury retail environment while supporting loss prevention and incident documentation requirements.
