About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Operations in Hayward, California, you will safeguard clients in logistics and distribution settings. In a fast-paced location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and materials; monitoring access points; and reporting security concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while helping deter incidents. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, at a rate of $19.95 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and packages entering designated areas in accordance with established site procedures.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorized entry requirements for personnel and vehicles.
Respond calmly to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency personnel as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, business operations, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and security-related activities.
