Baptist Health is seeking to add a Security Officer to its Protective Services Department at the new Baptist Silverleaf location. This is a full-time, day shift position, working from 6:00 AM to 6:15 PM. The primary role of the Security Officer is to ensure the daily safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring the medical center properties. Patient safety and experience are top priorities, and the team is currently implementing new technologies such as metal detectors. Requirements

• 1-2 years Law Enforcement Experience
• 1-2 years Security Officer Experience
• 1-2 years Military Experience
• High School Diploma Required
• Positions designated as requiring a level II Background (A detailed fingerprint-based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history) will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years Law Enforcement Experience Preferred
• 1-2 years Security Officer Experience Preferred
• 1-2 years Military Experience Preferred
• Associate or Science Preferred

Responsibilities

• Reporting any unusual circumstances, and take appropriate corrective actions
• Insuring the protection of individuals from harm by monitoring for safety hazards
• Providing escort services
• Respond to unsafe situations
• Enforce hospital parking regulations
• Assist individuals with obtaining help for vehicle problems
