About The Position

Baptist Health, recognized as a top place to work in healthcare, is seeking a Security Officer to join their Protective Services Department at the Baptist Silverleaf location. This is a full-time, night shift position (6:00 PM - 6:15 AM). The primary role of the Security Officer is to ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring the medical center properties. The team is implementing new technologies like metal detectors to enhance patient safety and experience. The Security Officer will report any unusual circumstances, take corrective actions, ensure protection from harm by monitoring for safety hazards, provide escort services, respond to unsafe situations, enforce hospital parking regulations, and assist individuals with vehicle problems. Positions requiring a level II Background check will undergo screening as a condition of employment.

Requirements

• 1-2 years Law Enforcement Experience
• 1-2 years Security Officer Experience
• 1-2 years Military Experience
• High School Diploma Required

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years Law Enforcement Experience Preferred
• 1-2 years Security Officer Experience Preferred
• 1-2 years Military Experience Preferred
• Associate or Science Preferred
