About The Position

United Protective Services is seeking a reliable, positive Security Officer to help protect people, property, and assets at assigned sites. The role involves monitoring access points, patrolling designated areas, enforcing site rules, and responding to security incidents and emergencies. Flex officers may be assigned to different posts and schedules according to openings and availability. The schedule provides coverage Monday through Friday or on weekends between 0600 and 2300, on any shift. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to buildings, facilities, or restricted areas.
Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols to ensure site safety.
Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or security incidents.
Write detailed and accurate incident reports.
Enforce rules, regulations, and procedures as directed by site management.
Assist with emergency evacuations and provide support during crises.
Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or potential threats.
Operate security equipment such as CCTV systems, radios, and alarm panels.
Assist visitors, employees, and clients in a professional manner.
Work collaboratively with law enforcement, fire, or medical personnel when needed.
Work at different posts and schedules based on shift openings and availability.
