About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Patrol Officer in South Bend, Indiana, at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer will help safeguard the site through patrols, access monitoring, incident response, reporting, and customer service for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. The position pays $17.69 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter; report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and communicate observations to site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff information using required reporting systems.
