About The Position

Guardian Service Industries is hiring a Security Officer for a part-time position in Great Neck, New York. The role supports building safety and daily operations while providing courteous assistance to residents, guests, vendors, and building staff. Requirements

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• 8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training Certificate.
• 16-Hour On-the-Job Training Certificate.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor.
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods as required.
• Must successfully pass a background check upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in residential security, corporate security, concierge security, or customer-facing security roles.

Responsibilities

• Interact positively with residents, guests, and vendors, assist with day-to-day requests, and resolve complaints.
• Communicate with building management and other staff to support smooth daily operations.
• Log and track concierge and building keys for resident use and move-ins or move-outs.
• Maintain building safety and security, including monitoring security cameras, responding to emergencies and concerns, using sound judgment, and escalating issues promptly.
• Log and distribute packages and handle external vendor deliveries.
• Maintain accurate, complete shift logs and provide effective handovers between shifts.
