As a State Government Facility Security Officer in Lancaster, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities within a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, while documenting security-related concerns and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or permissions, and support security-related screening procedures in accordance with post orders and location policies.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of daily activities, incidents, and policy violations, and communicate relevant updates with supervisors and/or site contacts as needed.
