About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. The officer helps maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, supporting site procedures, conducting patrols, deterring incidents, and providing customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Applicants must meet the stated age requirement for unarmed or armed roles, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and undergo applicable background and drug screening. Licensing requirements may apply under state and local law.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Applicants for unarmed roles must be at least 18 years old; applicants for armed roles must be at least 21 years old.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Control access by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and driver entry records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
- Monitor entry and exit points, loading areas, and access-control systems; report unauthorized access attempts, irregular activity, and equipment concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility perimeter, parking areas, docks, and designated access points.
