About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an assigned site in Independence, Kentucky. The role provides a consistent anchor shift, with a six-month commitment, and allows employees to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may provide opportunities to increase weekly hours up to 40, with the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $19.50 per hour, paid weekly.

The scheduled shift is Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Work environments and conditions may vary by site. The position involves providing customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may need to be completed before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, grounds, and perimeter.
