About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location in Shreveport, Louisiana, you will help safeguard the client by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, respond to site needs, and support a welcoming environment. The schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Pay is $15.76 per hour, with weekly pay.

Requirements

At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must undergo a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Must undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State and/or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and documentation in accordance with site procedures.
Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, spills, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
