About The Position

Marksman Security is hiring licensed Security Officers for a data center in New Albany, approximately 12 miles north of Columbus. Officers will use data center security systems, including CCTV and VMS, control ingress and egress, conduct rounds, monitor alarms, and help maintain a safe and secure premises. The role is listed as part-time and has a three-shift schedule; the specified schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Pay is $21.00 per hour. Security license renewal assistance is available. Paid on-the-job training is provided.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Valid Ohio Security License; the employer can assist with renewal.
Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
At least one year of prior security experience.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
Ability to occasionally crouch, climb stairs, kneel, sit, stand, stoop, and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge and greet guests promptly and courteously.
Manage guest and visitor access as needed and eject trespassers or violators from the premises when necessary.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms.
Patrol interior and exterior perimeters to identify potential safety and security risks.
Work with data center systems, including CCTV and VMS; control ingress and egress and conduct rounds.
Perform other duties as determined by operations.
